In een zijvergadering aan de conferentie Annapolis deze week, informeerde de Russische Minister van Buitenlandse Zaken Sergei Lavrov de Israëlische Minister Ehud Barak van de Defensie dat Rusland heeft beslist de kernbrandstofstaven te leveren nodig om de krachtcentrale van Iran in Bushehr te activeren.

Een Russische ambtenaar van de Ambassade vertelde de Post van Jeruzalem op Maandag 26 November, dat Rusland een vervolgtop post-Annapolis om zich op een „uitvoerige“ vrede van het Midden-Oosten zal ontvangen te concentreren.
