CAR BOMB DETONATES NEAR TROOPS IN NORTHERN LEBANOB :
According to Lebanese security officials, a car bomb detonated close to a military bus full of troops on the way to work Monday morning September 29 in Tripoli, Lebanon. At least five people are confirmed dead and 21 have been wounded. Most of the dead were Lebanese army soldiers, said the officials.

Gedaliah was soon murdered, however, by Yishmael ben Netaniah, commissioned by the king of neighboring Ammon. As a result, the final vestiges of Jewish autonomy in the Holy Land were destroyed, many more thousands of Jews were slain, and the rest were driven into exile. Only 70 years later would the Jews return and build the Second Temple. The events are described in the Bible in Kings II 25 and .

According to an Asharq Alawsat report on Thursday October 2, , Syrian President Bashar Assad’s has resumed his country’s efforts to develop a nuclear program after Israel supposedly bombed its secret nuclear reactor a year ago. Israeli military sources said that after the nuclear reactor bombing at Al-Kibar on September 6, 2007, Damascus changed plans and started an Iranian-modeled nuclear program, by starting construction on several facilities at the same time throughout Syria.

AMERICAN TUNNEL DETECTORS REDUCE GAZA SMUGGLING :
An advanced tunnel detection system developed in USA has enabled the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to recently uncover 42 smuggling tunnels running between Egypt and Gaza in less than a month. US experts quietly arrived in the region a few weeks ago, keeping a low profile by wearing civilian dress. They deployed on the Egyptian side of the Gaza border and used the secret new technology, thought to rely on sonar, to identify underground tunnels used by Hamas and other Palestinian terror militias to bring in weapons. The recent rash of tunnel discoveries appears to have Hamas worried. Additionally, the tunnel exposure project has led to heightened tension between Hamas and Egypt, according to Ynetnews.

ISRAEL FEARS US RADAR BASE IN NEGEV WILL REVEAL IDF SECRETS :
According to Israeli officials on Thursday October 3, Israel is worried that the US’s newly deployed radar facility in southern Israel will be used to spy on the IDF. “It’s like a pair of golden handcuffs on Israel,” said a senior official in a Time magazine interview. IDF officials are concerned that it might disclose IDF secrets to the US because the radar will be able to monitor any movement in Israeli airspace, “even a bee,” said a senior Israeli official who asked to remain anonymous.
