A dozen terrorists were killed and arrested over the weekend of February 24, in Gaza and elsewhere. Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) terrorist Majdi Mabrouk, on Israel’s wanted list for years was arrested in Shechem, carrying an M16 assault rifle and other weapons. He was on his way to carry out a terrorist operation, security officials said. Border Police arrested 926 PA Arabs residing inside Green Line Israel illegally. KASSAMS, MORTARS AND MISSILES:
Two more Kassam rockets were fired Sunday morning February 24, landing near Kibbutz Sa’ad, in the western Negev. No injuries or damage was reported. Four mortar shells were fired at Israel as well Saturday, but fell short of the Gaza border fence and landed inside Gaza. Gaza Arabs also fired an anti-tank missile at an IDF patrol on Saturday near the Kissufim crossing. No injuries were reported. A bus traveling on the Jerusalem-Hevron Highway Friday was attacked with rocks by local Arabs Friday.
WORLD RENOWNED BERNARD LEWIS DELIVERS CONCLUDING LECTURE:
The Jerusalem Conference concluded Wednesday night February 20, with a packed-house lecture by Bernard Lewis, a world-renowned expert on Islamic history and the relationship between Islam and the West. He spoke of the “regional factors shaping the course of events here. First is Iran. It’s not an Arab country, but rather a Muslim country, ruled now by a Muslim theocracy, which calculates its policies not by Iranian national interests, but by what is good for Islam. It is actively pursuing nuclear power; even a non-nuclear Iran is dangerous for Israel, and it must be carefully watched. Iran’s leadership comprises a group of extreme fanatical Muslims who believe that their messianic times have arrived” .

IDF KIL EIGHT TERRORISTS IN GAZA:
Three Palestinian terrorists linked to Hamas were killed on Sunday night February 24 in separate IAF airstrikes in Gaza, according to an Army Radio report today. The IDF verified that it targeted and killed “terrorist elements.” Earlier this past weekend, three Palestinians were killed Saturday afternoon in an IAF air strike in the northern Gaza Strip. The IDF claimed they belonged to a militant cell that had approached the Gaza border to fire mortars into Israel. On Friday, February 22, an Israeli missile killed two Palestinian militants and wounded a third in central Gaza, according to Palestinian medical staff and Hamas sources. The Islamic Jihad terror militia acknowledged the militants were members of their group dispatched close to the Israeli border to observe army movements.

A SUICIDE bomber detonated a vest packed with metal ball bearings in a refreshment tent full of Iraqi pilgrims heading to a Shi’ite festival overnight, killing 40 people and wounding 60, police said.
EGYPT RELEASES HAMAS TERRORISTS DETAINED IN SINAI: (AP/International Herald Tribune)
Egyptian security on Monday February 25 released 21 Palestinians, many of them detained in Sinai carrying weapons and explosives during the two weeks when the border was breached, and sent them back into Gaza. Twelve of the men were directly affiliated with Hamas and were believed to have been trying to infiltrate into Israel to carry out attacks.

Three weeks after the death of Hizbullah arch-terrorist Imad Mughniyeh, his widow blamed Syria for the killing, “The Syrian traitors are responsible for his death,” she told a press conference in Tehran. Wealthy West Bank-based Palestinians, funded by Persian Gulf benefactors, have been attempting to buy as much land as possible in eastern Jerusalem, concentrating their efforts in the Old City, in order to push out Jewish associations doing exactly the same. Backed by private millionaires, Muslim foundations, Arab banks, the PLO’s Orient House’s Housing Division, and even several affiliates linked to Hamas, these Arab associations offer twice, even three times, the property value compared to their Jewish counterparts. Palestinian sources claim Turkey has also become involved in the land venture, aiding Arab associations by denying the Jewish ones access to Ottoman land records which may prove historical Jewish ownership of the land.
