Palestinian Authority terrorists in Gaza have been emulating the tactics of the Lebanese Hizbullah, according to IDF sources. At least one of the PA weapons suppliers is also the same as that of Hizbullah: Iran. Another air strike Wednesday evening targeted the home of senior Hamas official Sheikh Zaki Al Dardissy in Khan Yunis, further south in Gaza.
KASSAM ATTACK; BOY LOSES LEG, BROTHER WOUNDED by Gil Ronen
An eight-year-old boy and his 19-year-old brother were seriously wounded Saturday evening February 9, in a Kassam rocket attack on Sderot. . A total of five rockets were fired. Terrorists from Islamic Jihad’s Al-Quds Brigades gang claimed responsibility for the attack. Another rocket was fired at southern Israel about two hours later, landing in a kibbutz in the Sha’ar HaNegev Regional Council area. . Early Sabbath morning February 10, Gaza terrorists twice attacked the western Negev. A mortar shell first slammed into an area near the Erez checkpoint. A second attack sent two rockets into the Shaar HaNegev Regional Council area. No injuries or damage were reported. The IDF immediately retaliated with a strike on a terrorist squad spotted near a group of ready-to-fire rocket launchers in the nearby Gaza town of Beit Hanoun in northern Gaza. The IDF also attacked four more rocket launch sites at noontime and identified hits as well. A terrorist was killed in one of the attacks.
SDEROT MAYOR & MIN. SHEETRIT: WIPE OUT GAZA NEIGHBOURHOOD:
Both Sderot Mayor Eli Moyal and Minister Meir Sheetrit, among others, say it’s time to bomb Gaza neighborhoods, in response to the ongoing Kassam attacks. Mr Moyal says: “We did it in Lebanon in 2006; we wiped out a whole neighborhood, the Dachya, including tall buildings, sometimes with people in it, and - what can you do? it worked! We have had nearly two years of quiet from Lebanon since then.”

Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas insists that negotiations taking place between Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni and former PA Prime Minister Ahmed Qurei (Abu Allah) are dealing with the status of Jerusalem. Livni confirmed the claim. If true, it runs contrary to Prime Minister Ehud Olmert’s promise to the Shas Party that such talks are not taking place. Shas has declared that it will bolt the coalition and bring down the government the moment talks over Jerusalem ensue.

The head of the Hamas terrorist organization, former Palestinian Authority Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh, is hiding from the IDF. Israel’s PM Olmert warned that in the wake of escalating Kassam attacks that sent at least 50 missiles slamming into the western Negev over the weekend of February 10, terrorist leaders, including Haniyeh, would not be exempt from retaliation. “We will not give anyone ’special consideration,’” he stated.

The leaders of the two main Arab family clans in Hevron and of the Jewish community in the city met on Sunday February 10, to renew the friendly Jewish-Moslem ties that once existed there. A few hours afterwards, Sheikh Jaabri was summoned by Palestinian Authority officials for a “discussion” of clarification. Posters were also hung throughout the city against the Sheikh for his meeting with the Jews.

Demographer Yoram Ettinger tells Arutz-7 that Palestinian Authority data about its growth spurt are distorted, untrue, and wildly contradict World Bank figures. He says there are 2.6 million Arabs in Judea, Samaria and Gaza, and not the 3.8 million reported by the PA. Asked why the PA lies, Ettinger explained: “After the last census, on Dec. 11, 1997, the man who headed the PA’s Bureau of Statistics, Hassan Abu Libde, told the New York Times that he sees the census as a ‘civil intifada,’ or a form of psychological terrorism.”

Foreign Minister and Vice Premier Tzipi Livni warned the international community Sunday February 10, that Israel would not agree to establish a Palestinian Authority (PA) state that would include Hamas terrorist-run Gaza, unless attacks on the western Negev cease. Livni pointed out the constant rocket and mortar attacks launched from the region as proof there could never be peace with Gaza. More than 7,000 Kassam rockets and mortars have been fired at Jewish communities in the western Negev since the beginning of the Oslo War in 2000,
IDF: HIZBULLAH MISSILES DEPLOYED IN SOUTH LEBANON: - Amos Harel (Ha’aretz)
Hizbullah has deployed large numbers of Katyusha rockets and antitank missiles in Shi’ite villages in southern Lebanon south of the Litani River, undetected by UN observers, senior Israel Defense Forces officials say. New missiles sent by Iran are capable of striking targets south of the Tel Aviv area, army officials say. In addition, Hizbullah has sent groups of agents disguised as media teams to film IDF activity along the Israeli border.
